Fall was the time of year I would drive around & snap the most photos. In my absence, my mom took these to send a little fall to me this year. This is the thing I cannot find in San Diego. There is the occasional tree of changed color to a yellow that is pretty, but nothing like the vibrant colors found on the WI/ IL border that is my home. How can anyone see this and think winter's not worth it?
Alright, I'm sure plenty can. I'm just not one of those people.
I still look for fallen leaves to crunch under my shoes. Yep, I'm 31 and I'm proud I enjoy the simple things.
I still anticipate that first day where you can see your breath and know the first snowfall is on its way. (or, in some areas, has already happened... kind of don't wish to be those people.)
Warm sweaters, hot cocoa, squishy scarves and hats.
Not quite at the bitter part of winter, but you're on her edge.
The occasional 70 degree day that reminds you summer will be back.
Rain to wash away dirt, debris, or- if they had it- smog, and the crystal clear sky after the rainfall.
Ah, I miss fall.
