Fighting Back

Sometimes you have to borrow a little attitude.

I was not a smart kid in high school. Since I'm paying for it, I refuse to be that way in college. I am 4 classes away from my Associates with a 4.0 GPA. I cannot lose this now!

Only, dang it, I got a low B on my midterm. A B isn't bad, but when you're trying to get a 4.0 GPA, it begins the tipping point between success and failure. I have 2 more tries; a final exam, and a term paper. Anything less than an A on either will dunk my goal.

Now I have 2 options. Whine, be upset, and accept that my goal of perfection isn't meant to be.

Or think: What would Capt'n Jack Sparrow do? Give it hell, or die trying!

Yes, I borrow my attitude from a fictional pirate. What's wrong with that? Name me someone better!

He stands tall to any challenge- regardless of fear, is slippery and cunning, and never gives up. Giving up on my goal is an option, but why do that? I'm not out yet, and the Capt'n wouldn't give up this early in the game! Neither shall I.
