One of my new favorites in historical romance authors is Connie Brockway. While her books are a little heavy on the smut side for me, the characters themselves are very diversely well written, as are the stories. I will never understand historical romance covers- ever.
I have read this book, and this sword has nothing to do with the plot. Sexy broad back? Eah, not bad, but it makes me feel like I'm reading this for all the wrong reasons. I want my heart to flutter, not my panties to putter.
Still, it's a good series. I dare you (if you read HR) NOT to enjoy these characters just a tiny bit.
