Post a lengthy discussion last night, my husband has agreed to go home to see friends and family again this year. Once again, we'll be doing it by car so we don't have the hassle of cancelling/ changing airline tickets if military changes our plans.
I am truly looking forward to this vacation more than the previous 2 years. 2 years ago it was 'go see family' and 'pack up the last of Our stuff from our parents homes for their each respective downside move'. Last year it was 'buy husband a new car frantically while seeing family'- not so much fun. This year his parents will have moved to Delaware. The 2 other family members my husband was close to, an Uncle and his Grandma, passed away last year. Depressing, but the upside is not nearly as many family obligations pulling us 7 directions at once. We're going to take our time, plan things as we feel like doing them, and spend a lot of time relaxing and enjoying a week of being 'home'.
We leave at the end of July, and now it only begs to wonder: how the heck am I going to last this long wait?
