Tonight's random thought is brought to you by Snow White and the Huntsman.

It started for me with Mel Gibson. My teenage years spent watching his perfection on Braveheart over and over.
Then Health Ledger was added to the mix. I followed his career very closely. I cried the day his death was announced. Still, my top 5 all-time favorite movies includes one he starred in: The Four Feathers. God put him in my way! Go watch it if you haven't seen it!
Of course, let's give props to the stunning Nicole Kidman, whom I adored since she starred Tom Cruise in Far and Away. It's not just talented and good looking Men they produce!
And what better than for her to marry a favorite country artist of mine, ALSO Australian. What a great match she makes with Keith Urban
And my favorite of favorites, the man I would leave my husband for:
Hugh *sigh* Jackman. Ok, not all his movies have been great, but he will always win me over for one of his starting rolls in Swordfish. Anyone I talk Hugh to will admit that was a good movie!
What brought me to think of Australian's terrific actors was tonight's featured film, Snow White and the Huntsman. Though I have been told I'm wrong many times, there is something about Kristen Stewart that just bugs me! She is a TERRIBLE actress to me. Just awful! I blame her for why I didn't like twilight and couldn't get into the other movies of the series. I think my bias started when I saw her do a late night interview. I watched in shock as she failed to complete a proper sentence with any level of intelligence. Maybe she was on some serious drugs that were messing with her that night? I don't follow her, I don't know her lifestyle. All I know is it ruined it for me. I feel like I see the lack of intelligence in her acting now. She's not acting, she's reading a script. There is a big difference for me, and it's a line between getting into a story and just watching a story.
Yet I choose to watch the movie after I found out she was in it. (And believe me, I had a big urge to shut it off then and there.) One reason being that I will give actors a second chance to win me over. Like I said, maybe she was on drugs at the time and is sober now. Maybe she's taken up expanding her mind and grew some intelligence. Everyone deserves a second change. Post movie and I still hate Kristen Stweart, but I have a new Aussie to add to my list!
HHheeeelllloooo Chris Hemsworth!!
Nevermind that rockin' body! He has such soulful eyes! And he's a terrific actor! I was sucked into every scene he was in. At least until Kristen opened her mouth again.
Though I do have to stop here a moment and also add... Does anyone else notice a blonde theme?? Is there something in the water in Australia? Strange. Anyway,
Back to my point!
It took me a minute to recognize this lovable face. He's Thor! Truth be told, his acting didn't seal the deal for me in Thor. And he was just outdone in Avengers. Sorry, no one can hold a candle to Robert Downey Jr for me. It was his accent that gave it away, though. He attempts what is a mix of Scottish or Irish accent in this movie. I couldn't tell, and he couldn't keep it consistent Still doesn't take away from his ability to suck me into a scene, but it did distract me quite a bit. I googled the movie to find out what his real accent was and put all the pieces together then.
He has a little further to go to win me over completely But hey, Heath Ledger wasn't an instant success from Ten Things I Hate About you. It took a few movies for everyone to get on board that train. I predict Chris is the next Australian rising star!

Thank you, Australia, for sharing them. My dreams thank you, too. ;)
