A Need for Careful Consideration for Movie Watching

Husband's still gone.

I slept like crap.

Drove to the park for a morning jog, only to find it jam packed at 7am (apparently the 1st time I went and found it empty must have been a fluke)

I've had a headache all day.

So let's get a distraction going to stop fixating on the bad stuff! Let's rent a DVD!

August: Osage County
Philomena
12 Years a Slave

I've gotten through the first to without opening up a vein, but I'm seriously questioning myself for picking these movies. WTF was I thinking? Perhaps that I may never want to be happy ever again?

Despite the insane depression may follow these movies, August: Osage County and Philomena weren't bad. August: Osage County had a scene (specifically a meal prayer) that actually hit home for me.

And how can you not love Judy Dench? I wish she would adopt me! I would bet my life she is a nice person in real life, too.

I must finish this movie-fest. 12 Years A Slave is one I know I'll find interesting after my history class just covered this period. Plus it's reviews were all well received. But Damn, I saved this one for last knowing it would be bad! I was expecting the first two to be just a slight bit happier.

Oh well. Time to put my big girl pants on.
