Revisiting a Previous DIY

I love DIY tips, alternative uses for things; anything that saves money and might be more healthy for me or allows me to better utilize what I have at home.

I've posted some stuff that's failed, like my alternative dryer balls.
And some things I've decided are too time consuming to continue, like alternative facial scrubs.
But my hand's down favorite find off the internet has been DIY Jewelry Cleaner!

1.5 years later and I'm still using this method to lean my costume jewelry on a bi-weekly basis. I've always hated the idea of spending $20-$30 on jewelry cleaner on a yearly (or more) basis for jewelry that cost me only $7. Seriously, I could just buy myself new jewelry... only now with the money I've saved I CAN.

Yet another fine example of how it cleans and removes tarnish:
And this is tarnish from after only 2 weeks! My problem is, after wearing, I store my dirty jewelry on top of each other and the tarnish collects very quickly. The bottom dark shiny silver is no camera trick, nor is the top left photo with the finger smudges reflecting the oils its picked up- ew.

However, for real jewelry - like my wedding ring- I was recommended by a friend to use hydrogen peroxide instead.
