I have confessed in my Blackhead Removal Home Remedies post (and mentioned in others probably) that I've got skin problems. We've all got something, right? Home remedies weren't cutting it. Unless I did egg facial masks daily (who has time for that?!)
I've finally narrowed down my problem: I have combination skin. Did it really take me over a decade to figure that out? Yep. I was certain my skin was oily. I have had to blot my forehead several times a day. If I fail to do so, the oils can actually get into my eyes and irritate them. Then the other day it dawned on me: I use lotion once I wash my face- it's dry too. My god, it's combination skin. And treating for oily has been making it worse.
On my first try, I found a product that seems to be helping it, and it didn't cost me a ton of money! It's Lumene Refreshing Foam Cleanser for normal/ combination skin. (Found at CVS Here). I am also using the toner that it recommends you use following the cleanser.
Pro's: I actually looked up every ingredient (I became nervous over it coming from Finland) and am happy to report all stuff in this product are safe, and most of it is in every other beauty product you find. So it's safe to use daily, and it works GREAT for drying up oily skin without making it too dry.
Con's: It has some reviews for not being a very good cleanser. I do not use this product to cleanse though. I buy make-up removing wipes, and use those to cleanse. Then I follow-up with this product to reduce the oils of my skin.
Bottom line: this is a great product for fighting oily skin. For anyone who is plagued with this problem like me, that is all you need to know.
