Sometimes It's More Than I Can Handle

My therapy is saving and giving. I'm that girl that would donate her lotto winnings to charities (after my family guilt me into all the things they wanted) and end up broke after a decade. As much good as that would do, I've decided it's safer not to play.

About an hour ago I took a look around my living room and decided I need to put a stop to starting projects and better focus my efforts.

I have toilet paper rolls and hot glue in one corner by my husband's computer desk from this project inspiration: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/toilet-paper-roll-wall-art

Next to that I have all of my boots and dress shoes (4 pairs total- 2 black, 2 brown) and shoe polish, with 1 boot partly polished. I started that last weekend before my hand started to cramp. This is sitting at what would be my computer desk, if I'd ever actually sit there...

Next to that I have knitting project #1- a blanket. And knitting project #2- a white winter cap.

Next to that 2 empty boxes of kleenex and 2 shoe boxes. I was thinking I could find some kind of projects for storage or decoration to use these online.

And last, next to me, are 2 more projects as I sit on the couch (my laptop on my lap instead of where it should be at my desk). To my right is my large collection of plastic bags for the project idea I posted last night. To my left, on the other side of the couch, is the scarf I'm making for a friend.

Add to that the sewing scraps I have on the floor in the corner in the kitchen for a failed attempt to learn quilting.

There's A.D.D., and then there's a compulsion... and I've fallen to the other side. I need to re-collect myself and re-focus my energies to actually finish a project. I have to also keep in mind these projects will only consume my free time until my husband returns. Then it becomes a small hobby with limited free time as hubby and I resume our lives together. What can I get done in the next 4 months? What will I enjoy doing? What was better in theory than in practice?

I'm going to spend the afternoon removing these would-be projects, organizing the projects I intend to finish with more realistic expectations, and getting rid of the garbage.
